Inky is an AI-generated children’s story app I designed, engineered, branded, and launched under my company Total Ventures. The product turns a child’s prompt into a fully formed, age-appropriate story with illustrations and optional audio narration—personalized to names, settings, and themes parents choose.
I owned the full stack: product strategy, UX flows, brand/illustration direction, content safety guidelines, generation pipelines, and the app’s frontend and backend. Features include guided prompts, genre presets, personalization tokens, a library with save/share, parent controls, and simple credit-based billing. I put extra care into inclusive characters, positive messages, and a gentle reading cadence for younger audiences.
On the engineering side, I focused on reliable generation, resilient retries, and fast perceived performance with status-aware UI. I built analytics to understand completion rates and common themes, and I documented content policies to keep stories safe and age-appropriate.
Role: Founder/solo builder (product, design, engineering, go-to-market).
What it delivers: magical, personalized stories in seconds—creating screen time that actually encourages reading and imagination.
